The Next Best Thing Blog Tour, featuring ... Moi!

I hope everyone is having the best day! Today's blog is an interview I did for the wonderful fellow author, Marie Lavender. Please take a look, she really had me think on this one. ;) Afterward, go check out her blog at https://iloveromanceblog.wordpress.com/2015/03/18/the-next-best-thing-blog-tour-my-wip. She some interesting and fun things to say, I know you'll enjoy getting to her!

1. What is your working title of your book (or story)?

Room 629

2. Where did the idea come from for these books?

Sitting in the cafe at a casino in Primm, Nevada having breakfast. It had bad lighting, the staff moved unusually slow and the guests were very eclectic. It created an eerie atmosphere.

3. What genre do your books fall under?
YA Fiction and they range from Paranormal Romance, Historical Romance, Time-Travel Romance and my new book, Room 629, is Sci-Fi.

4. Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

Gideon- Ansel Elgort
Jessie - Hayley Atwell
Micah - Imogen Poots
Caleb - Jake Abel
Patrick - Dave Franco
Simon - Nicholas Hoult

5. What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

A fight for human survival—as we know it.

6. Will your book(s) be self-published or represented by an agency?

Agency - Solstice Publishing

7.  How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

About a year

8. What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

Strange Invaders

9. Who or what inspired you to write this book?

My emotions at the time, had me feeling disconnected to my surroundings. It was a tumultuous time in my life. I think that is what inspired the angst and anxiety that fueled the book and the characters. It was a good outlet to deal with what I was feeling without addressing it head on.

Thank you Marie Lavender, for hosting me. It was great fun! Please remember to check out Marie's blog at https://iloveromanceblog.wordpress.com/2015/03/18/the-next-best-thing-blog-tour-my-wip
